Rocky Start- Trio - Guitarists / Vocalists / Club Music and Dance

Rocky Start is a great choice for your wedding or special event. The trio is composed of Joe Serrato, Bob Steinberg and Peter Baker. Joe and Bob are the singers and guitarists, while Peter is a drummer and vocalist. The band incorporates “state of the art” midi digital sequencing technology when on stage and provide a unique sound that rivals any artists in the Coachella Valley. Their music provides excitement using guitar, vocals and drum backed up by digitally generated keyboards and bass guitar. Their sound provides a dance / club sound that many times is often mistaken for a larger band of four or five members.  This trio can play rooms from small lounges to large dance clubs and fill any room with their unique sound. About the Band

Joe was born and raised in the Coachella Valley, performing and even recording with other talented desert artists during his musical career. He’s been admired and respected as an artist by his peers. Artists consider him one of the finest guitarists in the desert area. Joe has a talent for reproducing sounds from all types of popular music. This talent has earned him respect and admiration from artists and fans alike. His ear for tone, balance and composition, combined with a strong lead and harmonic skills make him a leading talent in any show.

Peter is from Orange County, CA, and last lived for the last 12 years in the Palm Springs Area. He began playing at age eight and was singing by age fourteen. He has a number of years experience performing live as well as recording. He’s primarily performed with club bands that have played at some of the hottest clubs in Anaheim, Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. While with the Band Willie Aames and Paradise, Peter has played at a number of theme parks across the United States, including Six Flagg’s, Disneyland, Disneyworld, and Marriott’s Great America.

Bob moved from New York to the Coachella Valley 25 years ago. Since he moved here, he’s practiced internal medicine. In his high school and college years, he played with a number of bands and has played with many artists in the desert and beyond. Their jam sessions gave him the experience he needed to get his nickname, “Rodnok”.

The formation of Rocky Start has helped to create a sound ranging from all types of rock to ballads, blues, r & b and even funk. This variety makes them a great choice for any type of social event. This band is perfect for anniversaries, birthday events, corporate functions and weddings great and small.
