On September 17, 2007 Mindy, Stephanie, Jacob and I made one of the most important decisions pertaining to Stephanie and Jacob's wedding.  That was the day we hired Laurie Lund and the Events Department.  When one hires a company or person after one meeting you are always worried that you made the right decision.  WE DID!

It was such a pleasure working with you and your staff.  You kept us sane throughout the year.  You were professional in every way.  Your staff is terrific.

I feel we became friends during the planning and you felt like this was your child's wedding.
You kept every detail of the evening in check and made sure the night was perfect in every way.  It amazed me how much your staff seemed to love their jobs and how relaxed they stayed and made sure we were relaxed during a hectic weekend.

Being able to ship items to you to hold until we arrived in Palm Springs was a life saver.  your communications with us leading up to the day was far beyond what we expected and having you on our side with our vendors was great.

Laurie, the only regret I have is we don't have another daughter or son getting married in Palm Springs otherwise I could again use you and the Events Department to help plan it.
Please thank your entire staff for us.  They were great.

sorry it's taken me awhile to write you, but i think i've been in a fog.  talk about let-down. 

i have some truly wonderful memories of  steph and jacob's weekend.  you and your staff were truly amazing.  i really felt as if you cared about us and wanted everything to be perfect.  it was a really wonderful feeling, and i love you for it. 

everyone raved about the ceremony.  they said it was the most beautiful they had ever seen.  it was amazing, and surreal and ethereal.  i cannot wait to see the pictures.  i feel as if i missed things because i was so into the moment.

the room looked spectacular.  your joey did a phenomenal job.  the colors were perfect-steph's favorites.  and you were absolutely right about the linens.  didn't it all look cool with the various shapes and sizes of the tables.  believe it or not, we schlepped the centerpieces home with us and are still enjoying them a week later.

again, thank you, thank you, thank you for everything!!!!!!!  it's been a pleasure getting to know you.  and i can't wait to further our relationship.  i don't even know about how many children you have. and how old they are, etc.  hopefully, we'll be able to expand our friendship sometime in the near future.

The resort, the food, the flowers, the DJ, hair/make-up, and the photographer were all great to work with. And thanks to you we were able to have the very best. And we can't forget the seamstress who make the alterations and the cleaners you choose.

T. looked more then beautiful, she was dreamlike and Sean was so proud and to have T. as his new wife.

Dear Laurie and the Events Department Team,

I have been looking at pictures of our wedding, and it is truly amazing how I missed so many spectacular things. Thanks to Michael, he captured all of them for us. This is a sincere, heart-felt thank you for what you, April, Lisa, Mary, Kurt and the others did for us behind the scenes for our wedding. I am one to have difficulty giving up control (if you haven't noticed) but we could not have found a more professional, organized group of people to keep it stress free. If only one of you could have escorted Jason to the tux shop, then we would have nailed the weekend. :)

Laurie, from the minute we met at the Yard House, I knew my wedding preparation process was in good hands. When you said that you were going to leave on the night of the wedding, for a brief moment I felt a sense of loss, but realized you and your teams' preparations allowed for the night to run its course.

Your hard work and dedication to Jason and I is still talked about amongst our families and guests. I am jealous that there are other brides who will have the pleasure of working with you in the future. Too bad for me that you are in the profession of being hired for a one time deal.

We didn't get to play our final song, but as Jimmy Buffet has sang before, "It's been a lovely cruise."

Hi Priscilla, Kristy, and Laurie... or should I say the ROCK STAR TRIO! You three are simply the best! I felt so pretty the day of the wedding, thanks to your magical talents! I am a very detailed oriented person; I was very involved in the planning process. Laurie was very helpful, but did not force her ideas onto me. We worked together to come up with a solution to my ideas that were within our budget. Laurie and her assistant also came to our rehearsal at the church; they helped orchestrate the process and became familiar with our wedding party. The day of the wedding I was stress free. The photographers were on time, Laurie had a seamstress at my house for any last minute problems (which we had), the limos were on time and the flowers were beautiful. Honestly, everything that I planned happened and it happened on time! She even went to lengths to check us into our hotel room, bags and all. It was fabulous!

I would highly recommend Laurie and her services. She worked well with the people at the La Quinta Resort, and they had everything coordinated perfectly. She handled all payments to vendors for my parents. She knows the very best people in the area, and the whole weekend was first class, thanks to her suggestions. Most importantly, my mother was able to relax and didn’t have to handle any wedding day problems.

I would definitely use Events Department and Great Ideas Floral if I had to do it over. I cannot imagine how we would have pulled it off without them.
